day 19

today we worked on our talk show and i don't think we have much more 2 do because we wrote a script and made over 50 questions for guest and audience combined all i need is to make a advertisement to get a audience to show and we need to get a larger variety of guests for the talk show.

day 18

today we did a talk sow in second life and we had a lot of technical difficulties like the mic kept echoing and breaking up. also the mics were very sensitive and you could hear people breathe and others in the background.besides all of that problems we had it was still pretty fun and i think we did well.besides the talk show we watch a bunch of short ''pass it on'' videos and some of the tips they gave were helpful but most of them i already knew.

day 17

today we did more work on the talk show we got the summary done and we sorted out the videos that we did't want.we also saw a guest speaker today that spoke about how to make a effective and interesting talk show and he thought it was outstanding that our talk show is gonna be 60 minutes because people generally have a short attention span and it would be hard to keep them interested

day16

today we did a lot of work for or talk show like we wrote summaries about e waste and made a script/run sheet about the topic we also choose a host for our talk show and a theme song but we still need a title and guest,but we did send our contact info out to see if NYC could help to get us one. we also had a guest speaker today and he spoke to us about china and its pros and cons and how china has the largest economy and population but they are putting laws that limit families to have only 1 baby.

day 15

today we went to the transit museum and it was kinda fun i learned how they build railroads under water and how the old trains looked like and felt. to e the old seats felt better but they changed them because they broke a lot and  and tore people clothing. we also saw the money train that they disguised to look like the garbage train so no one would know the difference and they had like 12 cops 8 guarding the train and 4 collecting the money which was kinda cool

day 13

today we did a lot of stuff like we made a schedule for our interview and we mapped out what we are going to do and how much time we will spend on the topic. we also interview each other about random things we felt was important to us to see how we can improve on our interviewing skills

day 12

today we was on second life and we saw a guest speaker who showed us how to make an effective talk show and how to find guest speakers. she said that well find most of our guest speakers through global kids contacts but i don't know if ill find anyone i want. also we learned how to make objects and link them together in second life which was cool and i learned how to edit scripts to change the way items look. we also did an interview of random people around the building about our topic which was waste and recycling (e-waste) and not a lot of people was familiar about the term but did do some humanitarian acts without noticing or for a different cause

day 11

today we went on second life and saw a talk show on second life it was very boring but we also learned how to build stuff and i think that's a very useful too in second life because now i can make whatever i want and put what ever i want on it like a picture or a website.

day 10

today we went to to volunteer at Fort Greene park and helped cleaned it up with Quicksilver and Stoked to serve project and we had to rake leafs in the middle of the summer. they told me it was that there type of trees the leafs fall off twice a year to protect its self from contamination so they were falling in the summer and fall. we raked 43 bags of leafs ranging from 5- 28lbs and at the end we got free stuff.

day 9

today we went to high line park and i saw rick fox!! and some other lady who i didn't know. i also saw that the park was made of a old railroad track and they put a bunch of tracks that looked really kewl. we also had to ask some people random question about the park some people ignored me while 2 old ladies who were both tourist. also today on second life we did a scavenger hunt and i came in second place and i better get a runner up prize Juan.

day 8

today was kinda fun we watch the inconvenient truth by Al Gore who is a environmental activist and he made a documentary of his findings about global warming and climate change. we also went further into the talk show project and we made a mind map and saw a virtual talk show set in second life and it looked OK but we also learned that when you click the fruit it changes colors to signal the gues to change topic.

day 7

today was fun because even tho we dident go anywhere i still had alot of fun in second life because i figured out how to change my avater's aperence effectivly like giving him a sword or making him a racoon but i deleted my head some how and now i dont know how to get it back :(

we also had to find articles about climte justice and we finally started setting up groups for the talk show and my group topic is waste and recycling.

day 6

today with lts was un because we went to a public access channel called manhattan nebhorhood network and we learned about how camera equipment was used we also saw a live pretend interview with some o our friends and with the youth with MMN. it was pretty funny watching your friends try o make a real talk show. and the best part was the coffee machine that made late coffee hot chocolate and more and it even added flavoring like hazelnut and french vanilla.

day 5

today was kinda fun we went to a farmers market and we tasted some veggies that were good and we also walked around and asked the vendors what kind of farm they have and the steps they take to producing them and harvesting the crops. But the most informative was the bee keeper because he told us that he harvest bees on top of some building in grand army plaza and when he order bees he has to put them into a mesh ox and keep the queen separate bcuz they will sting her 2 death. we also learned that bees make huney with their sweat and make the honeycomb shape with their mouth and if you smoke them they would think theres a fire and when you try to extract the honey they wont attack you if handled properly

day 4

today at lts we heard alot of speeches and other people ideas about climate change and they are affected by it and how they could help stop it. we had two guess speakers in one day the first one was with this lady who was talking about her friend who is from Papua New Guinea but her island was being affected by climate change so much that her island had broke in two and now she is currently trying to lead her village to a nearby country. we also met this guy who had this great idea to put plants on top of the mta buses so it can take some of the rays from the sun and make air and it would also make a nice stop for the animals that are migrating and it was supposed to help repopulate bees and it would like to see his idea put into action some day

day 3

today we learned about foods and where it come. it was kinda tragic when i saw where my food comes from and how its being processed and i wish i havent seen it because i could have gone a life time eating and and not worrying  where it came from because it tastes good.  also dont think its kewl that the corperations feed the baby ow cow blood miixed wit formula because their turning them into cannibals and they are also transfering mad cow deasise

day 2

yoooo today i feel like a i phone every 1 wants 1 but they cant afford 1. its almost like a computer + ipod +a phone put together its very useful on the go. besides that we went on second chance again and it was no better than yesterday still lagged out but its amazing how many thing you can do on that website you can alter almost anything

day 1 at LTS

today at lts was ok. we went on a website called second life and i thought it was ok for my first time even though it was extremely laggy and took a while for my avatar to load it was still kinda fun. we also learned about sustainability and ow it can help benefit the world
